How are you liking the Shormann Math?
So far so good 🙂 It’s definitely a bit tougher but they do a pretty good job during the video tutorials and they have several ways to get help if you need it.
Now that you changed your high schoolers from mathusee to shorman math do you still recommend mathusee up to high school? Are your younger kids still going to continue mathusee?
Hi Lisa,
yes, we loved MUS up until HS. We did go all the way through MUS but then moved to Shormann which I think goes a bit beyond MUS. They are college prep classes, so definitely more difficult, but they come with daily video lessons and I think that has helped quite a bit with the higher level math classes.
I noticed you are using BJU online biology but your student is also doing biology in a class at school. Do you think BJU biology is doable if we do it at home on our own?
Hi, we have done both at home and at our Options program. I think either way was fine, we did have to get a kit for the experiments at home, otherwise BJU Distance Online Learning is great!
About BJU online, do you follow the full 180 days? Do you skip any chapters?
No, we typically do 4 days/week and 1 day at an options program, so we don’t usually get through the entire curriculum in 1 year.
Looks like the Literature and Composition English 2 book has changed? What has taken its place?
Hi, I’ve updated the link for you 🙂
