Hi everyone! I have a beautiful new knitted beanie pattern to share with you today. This one is so much fun and if you love cables, you’ll love this! Introducing The Briar Rose Beanie.
For this project I used a love skein of Rosie Cotton by Four Boys Fiber. It is a lovely cream base with beautiful pink and green speckles throughout. The yarn is so soft and squishy and lent itself beautifully to the cable work on this hat.
Skill Level: Intermediate
Supplies:
- 4mm/US 6 16” circular needle
- 5mm/US 8 16” circular needle
- 5mm/US8 DPNs
- Tapestry/yarn needle (for weaving in ends)
- Optional: Faux Fur Pom
Yarn: 1 skein DK weight yarn (100g) (I used Rosie Cotton DK by Four Boys Fiber Etsy)
Sizing: Medium fits teen/adult approx. 20-22 inches head circumference
I also decided to do a couple different kinds of cables which I think make this hat extra special! But don’t worry, they’re not hard, so if you’re new to knitting but are comfortable with cabling, then I definitely suggest trying this one out! I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how fun and easy it is!
I think this one will make super cute gifts this year, and this gorgeous faux fur pom is just so extra don’t you think! I got this pom from our local yarn shop, Colorful Yarns, and it’s by McPorter Farms. It’s so full and fluffy and I just love the dusty rose color. The tips have a little black accent on them, which is so fun!
