How we use Kiwi Crate:
We like to use the Kiwi Crate boxes as a supplement to our science and robotics portion of our homeschool curriculum. While I don’t feel that these boxes would fully suffice as a stand alone science/robotics type curriculum they are a great hands on addition to our homeschool.
Since they’re a monthly box and the theme varies each month, you wouldn’t be able to plan around the boxes specifically. But you will know when they are set to arrive and then you can just set aside a day to do the box instead of your normal science lesson that day. It works out great, and gives the kids a break from their normal routine with a fun and different project.

What is Kiwi Crate?

They have crates for a variety of ages as well which is cool. This time around we reviewed the Kiwi Crate which is for ages 5-8 and since my daughter is 8, I thought it would be a fun treat for her.

- Cricket Crate – Ages 0-2
- Koala Crate – Ages 3-4
- Kiwi Crate – Ages 5-8
- Doodle Crate (Art & Design) – Ages 9-16+
- Tinker Crate (Science & Engineering) – Ages 9-16+
The contents of each crate include all of the materials needed to make a fun project. These are great for hands-on exploring and creativity!
