Hi readers! I’m so excited about today’s giveaway!
As many of you know we’ve been absolutely loving the LEGO Education products lately. And my kiddos are super excited that we’ve added them into our curriculum this year.
We’re going to be doing a co-op with the LEGO Education Simple & Motorized Mechanisms Base Set this year, but I’ll have more to share on that later.
Today I have the pleasure of reviewing the LEGO Education WeDo Construction Set and Software for you. This stuff is so cool, I had no idea!
Literally.
I had no idea until my friend’s 12 year old showed me how to use it.
And yes, I felt old.
But then I realized how cool this product is!
As I mentioned, we received the LEGO Education WeDo Construction Set, Activity Pack, and Software set. We downloaded the Farris Wheel instructions from their online resources, then built the project using the WeDo 9580 + 9585 sets combined.
Once our project was complete, we installed the LEGO Education WeDo software pack to my computer. That’s when Trevor came to help bail me out.
I tried to figure out the software on my own.
Because I have an aversion to reading instructions.
Then I gave up and Trevor came to the rescue.
Here’s a short video we made on using the software to power your LEGO Education creation…apparently it’s really not all that complicated. So I’m thinking I was just having an “off” day. Yeah.

And just to show you how cool LEGO Education is, I am giving away one of the Homeschool Simple Machines Pack with a Printed Teacher’s guide to help get you started! (That’s over a $100 kit people, free for one of you!)

I am teaching a LEGO class for our co-op this year and I would love to have the simple and motorized mechanisms set!
I like the simple machines set.
I also like the simple machines set.
We’re just now beginning to recognize the benefits of this for our 2nd grader. She has a unique ability to figure things out & put them together. It would be great to start off with the Lego Education We Do kit. It sounds like a great way to get our feet wet as we venture into this new territory.
I love the hands-on, FUN way to teach simple machines!
Honestly, this is the set I would pick. Homeschool Simple Machines Pack with Printed Teacher’s Guide. Thanks for the giveaway!
Everything looks cool, but honestly Lego needs to make their website more user friendly. I couldn’t figure out what a basic starter set for elementary robotics would include and cost.
Subsequently my favorite is the simple machines because it is on your website.
I think the Simple Machines would be a great set to start with for my son.
This is our first year homeschooling and we told our son that if the first half of the year went well, we’d add lego science to our curriculum. Simple Machines is the top of our list, but I’m sure we’ll get more than just that one. It would great to win.
I like the Story Starter Packs and I know my 8 year old daughter would love the Simple machines and my younger two would love any of the duplo sets for preschoolers. The playground set is cute.
I love that these kits are appropriate for a variety of ages – I am always looking for projects that will challenge both of my children, and I think that they would love LEGO Simple Machines.
