Greetings readers! As promised, I have some more sight word sentence printables for you! Today I am sharing First Grade Sight Word Sentence worksheets.
Each one has the word along with a funny sentence. Students will practice tracing the word, reading the word, then writing it on their own.
Students will also cut out the letters and spell the word correctly to complete their sentence, great for fine-motor skills and spelling practice! Next they will write the word to complete the sentence.
Finally they will make up their own sentence using their newly learned sight word! The repetition along with the variety of activities really helps students remember their sight words!
This download includes 41 First grade level sight words from the Dolch sight word list.

More Sight Word fun!
Hi!! Thank you so much for offering these for free! They have really helped my son learn his sight words. I was wondering if you had a sheet for “on”? We are doing the primer words now but I can’t seem to find that one. Thanks again!
Awessommmme!! Thank you. These worksheets are a great help.
Thank you so much! I’m teaching summer school and your resources are beyond awesome 🙂
You are far more fantastic than I ever imagines. I LOVE these! Thank you for everything you do.
Thank you for the great “sight word caterpillar”!! As a non native English speaker I was looking for some help when teaching my son reading English (he understands and speaks a lot but reading is so difficult as the same letters are pronounced differently in different words, for example “here” and “were”)
Just as a new idea, this is how we used the caterpillar:
We “fed” (alining words as the body) him with different words each time: For example: Now he likes to eat all the words that start with letter…, all nouns, all verbs, all question words, all the words with 3 letters…. So the child can learn the spelling (reading the words every time he/she adds the word to the caterpillar) as well as practice some grammar.
I love these, but in trying to print them, the dotted middle lines do not print out. Any idea why?
Great Materials! Thank you! These will be very helpful in working with my 1st grader. 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing the sight word sentences! I can’t wait to use them with my students.
Thank you so so much!!! I am going to use it with my girls very soon.
Thanks so much for sharing these, and for all your hard work!
