Hi everyone! I wanted Tinker Bell to do a little more work on her sight words, so I made these Pre-Primer Kindergarten Sight Word Sentence worksheets. Each one has the word along with a funny sentence. Students will practice tracing the word, reading the word, then writing it on their own.
They’ll also cut out the letters and spell the word correctly to complete their sentence, great for fine-motor skills and spelling practice! Next they will write the word to complete the sentence.
Finally they will make up their own sentence using their newly learned sight word! The repetition along with the variety of activities really helps students remember their sight words!
This download includes 40 Pre-Primer level sight words from the Dolch sight word list.

Do you have a worksheet for the sight word Like?
Hi Simi,
It is in this one: http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/blog/2012/12/kindergarten-primer-sight-word-sentences.html
These sheets are wonderful! I am a K-2 special education teacher and my kids need lots of practice with writing. I plan to put a plastic sleeve over the worksheets and have my kiddos use dry erase markers so that the worksheets can be used over an over. This is such a great way for them to practice their sight words. Thank you!!
I am a first year kindergarten ESE teacher! I love these worksheets! Fine motor out the wazoo. The writing, cutting and reading skills. Fantastic 🙂 What a wonderful resources to integrate so many different skills. Thank you!
Thank yo so much for sharing! I need extra work for my students while I am at Cleveland Clinic. I appreciate your dedication to all of us!
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much!!
the sheets are wonderful..thank you for sharing 🙂
Thanks you SO much! Do you have any plans to do these in CURSIVE? I saw the third grade ones but am looking to start at the beginning with pre-primer. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this site! I have been searching everywhere but cannot find a lot of cursive resources for sight words. Since I do not have the correct font on my computer it is hard for me to make my own. I LOVE your site. You are such a HUGE blessing!
Hi Michelle, I’m sorry I probably won’t do the preschool ones in cursive as most preschoolers aren’t quite ready for that and I think manuscript is probably more widely used for little ones. But I will add it to my suggestion list if time allows! Thanks 🙂
You are a wonderful person for sharing all this great work, thanks so much! I could say a lot more wonderful things but I only have a moment to write this. Thanks a bunch!
Thanks Erica, these are amazing!
