Hi everyone! After publishing my K4 Handwriting Worksheets (manuscript) I had a ton of requests for Cursive Handwriting Worksheets. It took me a bit to get them completed, but here they are!

As usual, you can print on copy paper and have students write with pencil on the sheets, or you can also print on copy paper, then laminate or stick inside a page protector and allow them to use them with Expo Dry-Erase markers! That way they’re re-usable and you can practice your sheets as many times as needed!

The line spacing for these sheets should be appropriate for kindergarten, first , or second graders who are just starting with cursive handwriting skills.

Each letter includes capital and lowercase letter practice. The first letter has arrows to help students properly form the letters, and the rest are simply dashed font for them to trace. Then the bottom line is blank with only the starting dot so they can practice writing the letters on their own! Enjoy!

  1. These are the only free cursive handwriting sheets I could find for my Granddaughter that had arrows indicating how the individual letters should be made.

They are even more relevant considering the new body of research that has shown learning to form cursive letters helps pattern brain development, especially helping children with learning disabilities. (See the New York Times article “Writing to Learn” by Dr. Perri Klass, a pediatrician, 2016.)

Thank you so much for this free resource!!!
