Good morning! I have some fun free math worksheets for you today! Strawberry Shortcake was so interested in the Kindergarten Number Mazes that I made for Tinker Bell, that she asked for some skip counting worksheets so she could practice her multiplication tables!

Skip counting practice is something we do often. One thing we LOVE are the Skip Counting songs from Math U See. The songs are really cute and catchy, and it has definitely helped with our memorization. Tinker Bell has already memorized half of her multiplication tables without even realizing it! She’s the singer in our family…she automatically absorbs just about any songs we play while we do school so I use it to my advantage.

I’m tricky that way.

So anyway, Strawberry Shortcake was in the depths of multiplication this year, and I’m game for anything I can do to help her memorize her tables while at the same time making it more fun! And of course I’m not one to say “no” to more math practice, so just ask and you shall receive!

This download includes skip counting for numbers 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12 all in a fun maze format.

There are a lot of different ways to use these sheets, here are a few ideas to help you get started:

  • Use highlighters or markers to color each square
  • Laminate and use dry-erase markers to complete the maze (Mazes can then be re-used)
  • Use with do-a-dot markers (I’m really going to have to send this company a big “THANK YOU”! My kiddos will do almost anything if a do-a-dot marker is involved!)
  • Place sheet on a magnetic board and use pom-pom magnets, or colorful button magnets
  • Use cheerios, gold fish, M&Ms, raisins, or any other edible manipulative, then eat your completed maze!

 

Here is a sample of one of the worksheets, your student will start at the bunny and skip count by whatever number is on the worksheet until they help him reach his carrot. And like I said…try the do-a-dot markers, they have magical motivational powers in our home!

Oh yeah, before I forget…a kind reader commented awhile back saying you can get bingo dabbers for really cheap at the dollar store. Do-a-dot marker vs bingo dabber…same thing only less expensive! I’m hoping they’re a dollar. It annoys me when things aren’t $1 at the Dollar Store!

    1. Are you using a mac by any chance? Sometimes it helps to download the item to your computer, then open it using Adobe Reader. MACs open documents in Safari preview mode, and it can mess with the look of the page.

  2. Help! This happened last year when I tried to use these printables! I just tried printing them out again and there are black swirly scribbles all over the page! I downloaded them and tried several times. What am I doing wrong?
