Since weโ€™re working on the human body this year, I chose the Human Body Science Cards. What a fun way of reviewing and practicing all of the parts and functions of the Human Body!

For those of you who havenโ€™t heard of Hot Dots before, they are educational cards with dots on them. When pressed on the dots, the special pen registers whether or not the answer is correct or not.

The pen then lights up green and dings for a correct answer, or red and buzzes for an incorrect answer.

We also chose some Vocabulary Cards, these particular ones help practice Synonyms.  Here is a close up of what some of the cards look like. This set comes with 50 double-sided, illustrated cards that cover synonyms for grades 2+. They have 6 interactive vocabulary card sets which include antonyms, multiple-meaning words, prefixes and suffixes, context clues, and homophones.

You can also purchase Educational Insights Hot Dots with Talking Hot Dots Pen, and make your own cards as well! Iโ€™ve made a few for early learners here:

  1. I’m starting homeschool for my almost 7 yr old daughter (Grade 2) and I’ve heard of Hot Dots and would love to try them … anything to help with the cost of our first year homeschooling is a blessing! My daughter would enjoy the Grades 1-3 math story problem set. Thanks so much!

  4. Hi! I have liked Educational insights on Facebook and would like to be entered into the Hot dots giveaway. This is our first year homeschooling and this would be great for us! I am a homeschool graduate myself and I am looking forward to our homeschooling journey. I have a 3rd grade boy, a 2nd grade boy, and a preschool age girl. I think the multiplication set would be great for us, or the state capitals!
