We’re into our 4th month of school this year, and we’re still loving the WriteShop Primary! Although I’ve only been doing it a couple times a week, our kids are doing quite well. One thing that has really helped us with our writing, is our WriteShop Story Builders!
They’ve been a HUGE help on days when they kids just can’t come up with an idea to write about. I printed them all off and put them in a little 3×5 recipe type box. I let them just grab in and pull out a card so it’s a surprise! If they really don’t like the card they pick, I let them grab another one, it’s really not a big deal, and they always find something fun to write about using the Story Builders!
What types of cards do they offer?
- World of Sports StoryBuilders (e-book) ($7.95)
- StoryBuilders Christmas Mini-Builder (e-book) ($3.95)
- World of Animals StoryBuilders (e-book) ($7.95)
- World of People StoryBuilders (e-book) ($7.95)
Now is a great time for the Christmas Mini-Builder cards, so if you’re kids are having a hard time thinking of things to write about, I encourage you to try the WriteShop Story Builders!
And if you haven’t tried WriteShop yet, take a look! It’s a fun way to get excited about writing! The techniques they use are really engaging and my children are actually excited about writing now instead of dreading it!

My daughter loves to write. These would be great to give her ideas of things to write about.
I have been searching for a resource to encourage writing for my son. I have not found many resources for the younger kids that are not overbearing. This could be a good option.
We are gearing up to begin using WriteShop in January and I would love to have a set of these for my youngest child. Thank you!
I have three boys, ages 16, 13, and 10. I really struggle with helping them to develop their ideas on paper. They love to tell stories at the dinning room table, but it is like pulling teeth to get them to put their ideas on paper. I am hoping that your books will help me get them writing. Your method for story building might help them. Thanks.
My kids would love to win! We hit a wall with our last personal narrative project and they’ve been in a writing funk since 🙁
Would love to win these and try them with my daughters!
We’ve been enjoying the Christmas Story Starters over the past few weeks. It’s such a simple concept but the kids love it! I’d love to have some more Story Starters for the New Year!
i home school our girls on a very limited budget so im always keeping an eye open for new and fun tools, these look like they would be beneficial to my abby, thanks for this offer!
I have never won anything online before so I figure there is a first time for everything! Also, I’m just starting out on the homeschooling road with DS1 and want to get my hands on as much good quality learning equipment as possible!!
I love the story builders. I made my own set by taking the story builder lists in the Write Shop text and putting them in a flip book to use in a co-op class I teach. I would love to have the real thing for class and at home. Thanks for the opportunity.
