We’re into our 4th month of school this year, and we’re still loving the WriteShop Primary! Although I’ve only been doing it a couple times a week, our kids are doing quite well. One thing that has really helped us with our writing, is our WriteShop Story Builders!
They’ve been a HUGE help on days when they kids just can’t come up with an idea to write about. I printed them all off and put them in a little 3×5 recipe type box. I let them just grab in and pull out a card so it’s a surprise! If they really don’t like the card they pick, I let them grab another one, it’s really not a big deal, and they always find something fun to write about using the Story Builders!
What types of cards do they offer?
- World of Sports StoryBuilders (e-book) ($7.95)
- StoryBuilders Christmas Mini-Builder (e-book) ($3.95)
- World of Animals StoryBuilders (e-book) ($7.95)
- World of People StoryBuilders (e-book) ($7.95)
Now is a great time for the Christmas Mini-Builder cards, so if you’re kids are having a hard time thinking of things to write about, I encourage you to try the WriteShop Story Builders!
And if you haven’t tried WriteShop yet, take a look! It’s a fun way to get excited about writing! The techniques they use are really engaging and my children are actually excited about writing now instead of dreading it!

I need these for my kiddos.
I would love to win a set of these. I am struggling with getting my 4 kiddos to do some writing. I think that is our weakest part of homeschooling!! We would really put them to use around here!!
oh, and I follow you on facebook and your blog 🙂
My daughter dreams of being an author. She taught herself to read before she started kindergarten. She is in the second grade now and has been schooled at home her entire life. I can think of nothing more inspiring to her than something that could get her “writing juices flowing”. Someday she will be an author and I want to be the person who did everything I could to make her dream her reality. That is why I am entering to win this particular item. Thanks for offering the chance to win.
