Well, those awesome people over at Educational Insights have yet ANOTHER great giveaway for you today! It’s the GeoSafari®Talking Electronic Microscope! I have to say that we really liked this one!

It comes equipped with m ore than 180 super cool up-close images that your family can learn about!

What’s the cost? $64.99

What did we think?

The kids absolutely loved this thing! The microscope has a “Learning Mode” and a “Quiz Mode” so your kids can view images and learn 5 fun facts about each one, then switch over and test their new-found knowledge!

Even the Teeny Tot loved to look in there! She kept saying “I see it, I see it!”

One downfall I saw was that you can’t add anymore information into the scope, so once you go through it all, I guess you’ve gone through it all. But that hasn’t seemed to stop my kids from enjoying it!  I’ve seen it out quite often since we received it. And I guess with 300 fun facts to learn, that’ll take awhile to get through!

One great thing is the display. It’s a high resolution LCD screen, so the images are really nice and clear which is awesome! The images included in this microscope were created using a scanning microscope so they’re nice and detailed. Images include the human body, viruses and bacteria, plants, animals and other cool “stuff”.

This Microscope is also really easy to use, you just select a category, then pick a specimen to learn about. The GeoSafari®Talking Electronic Microscope will then begin with the fun facts while you’re viewing the image.

The other cool thing, and this is important when little people are involved, is that the microscope will power down on it’s own so as not to use up your batteries if they forget to turn it off. Not sure if that happens at your house, but we have serious battery issues over here.

  1. I just subscribed to your blog via email. Love your blog! It is full of great ideas. I am just starting to get ideas for homeschooling my 3 year old daughter. Your blog is a great resource.

  2. Luv the idea of having a microscope! Please add me to the list of trying to win it! It would be such a blessing in our school room as most recently our family has started homeschooling. You really have a great blog, and I get a lot of ideas from you (thank you) for my 3 year old and my grade 2’er. Science has been the challenge this year so far. Our curriculum was chosen by me, but maybe lacked a little in seeing what my daughter might be interested in. So we’ll see. Have a great day.
    Sincerely,
    Rebecca K.
