Download the Letter of the Week K4 Blend Cards
As part of my K4 add on’s I am having my daughter do some beginning reading. I posted these awhile back with different animals, but here they are with my Letter of the Week themes.
For each consonant we practice reading the blends with each vowel. We also add another consonant on the end to make small CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words using magnetic alphabet letters.
Hope you have fun with beginning reading skills!

These activities are part of my K4 level expansion to my Letter of the Week Curriculum, click on the images below to see more activities. The K4 curriculum isn’t quite finished yet, so until I get it packaged all nice and purdy you can download from my posts!

I love these ladders. And they couldn't have come at a better time – I was just about to look for some printables online when I found yours. Thanks a million 🙂
They look great! Can't wait to use them!
I'm a fellow homeschooler & I really like your blog! You do a great job. I just followed you! :)~Erikahttp://erikajo.blogspot.com
Thank you sooo much!! 🙂 I currently use the K4 Abeka curriculum at school and these are perfect for them! I have blend ladders already from Abeka, but I love yours with the LOTW pics!
I currently teach at a private Christian school and use the Abeka K-4 curriculum. It is a new curriuclum for me, so these blend ladders will really help! I am going to use them at my Language Arts Center after gluing them on cardstock and laminating. Does anyone have any ideas for games using the blend ladders? I like the curriuculum, but it can be very repetitive!!
