One of our fun file folder games is the Paint Brush Color Match game. Everyone plays with this, even the older kids play with this. Must be the cute little paint brushes :o) (Note: the download contains jars for all the colors, our yellow one ripped and I just haven’t reprinted cuz’ I’m lazy!)
The download includes:
- File Folder Game Cover Page
- 8 Color Jars (Green, Pink, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Purple, Red, Brown)
- 32 Colored Paint Brushes (4 of each color)
Click here to download the Paint Brush Color Match!
Anonymous: YES the download has been updated, you'll have to re-download the entire pdf though, but then just reprint the cover. I do Graphic Design too, so I should've seen it LOL!
Thank you, it’s such a blessing to have you share with us! Rachael
This is an awesome idea! I only wish my printer was color… 🙁 Did you make these yourself? If so, what are the chances of making them black and white so we can color them in ourselves? 🙂
I was wondering the same thing as Sara B. about having them in black and white (to save on my color ink!). I would then just color them in with my sharpies. Or maybe even let the children help me color them with just crayons 🙂 I love all of your stuff!!
very cute I cant wait to do this in September with my kids.
Thank you so very much for sharing this with all of us! I absolutely love this color matching game! I am an elementary French teacher and I am using it with my third graders to learn their colors in French. I printed out everything as is and just made a few changes afterwards. I typed up address labels with the French colors to label each jar with, then I typed up return address labels with the French colors, and put them onto the back of each corresponding paint brush. Afterwards, I laminated everything. My students really enjoy it! Merci!
This is great! Thank you!!!
I love this idea. However, I wish there was a link to download and print in black and white instead of color. I would much rather color by hand than to use up color ink. Just my fyi! Awesome idea…My students will love this!
Thanks Danielle, I’ll take that into consideration 🙂
How would you laminate the pieces to preserve the life of the activity? if you need to make a pocket by gluing the name of the color to the jar…how would two laminated pieces remain glued together?
Did you figure it out? I was wondering the same thing.
You could always glue the color card to the jar, and then laminate it 🙂
That said, I just taped the front color card to the jar using Scotch tape and it stays just fine.
Hi,
I was wondering if you have this available in black and white format?
Thanks
I’m sorry, I only have the colored version
