For our memory verse this week, I made a fun Bean Bag Toss game!

FruitOfSpiritBeanBagToss

Rules: Lay out the cards on the floor and take turns tossing bean bags onto them in order of the scripture.

Variations:

  • Put fruit cards in a basket, pick one then try to hit that card.
  • Laminate and use as hopscotch game

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

  1. Hi Mamamia,I don't school over the summer, I use that for my planning for next year! Plus everyone is usually ready for a break!I will probably continue with our Bible studies, and just some fun side things I pick up, plus crafts etc. But otherwise our summers are spent on road-trips, swimming lessons, family visits etc!

  2. I love these ideas! I am working on the fruits of the spirit with my boys and this would be a great, fun game with them! We have something we do everyday with the fruits…something our family life pastor recommended. Each day, you pray one of the fruits in to your family. So, first day, you pray for love…that your family would be filled with some much love that it is pouring out of your home for others to see, etc. Then each day you pray for another fruit. After you have been through all nine, you start all over and its something you never stop doing. My husband and I were doing this, but have recently had our 3 year old twins start praying it with us every morning and its amazing to see what God is doing! (although I never like that morning we have to pray for patience! ha!) They love seeing what we get to pray for each day!

  3. I just added the Alphabet lacing to my Amazon shopping cart. 🙂 Not only will my daughter be able to learn the alphabet…in an OH SO CUTE way….but it will be good to work on the "fine motor" lacing as well. Thanks again. I will be stopping by often.
