Day 3: Love is Not Selfish
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another. Romans 12:10
TODAY’S DARE
Whatever you put your time, energy, and money into will become more important to you. It’s hard to care for something you are not investing in. Along with restraining from negative comments, buy your spouse something that says, “I was thinking of you today.”
The Love Dare is a 40-day challenge for husbands and wives to understand and practice unconditional love. You can do it as a couple, or if your marriage is in trouble, do it as an individual, for your marriage, out of obedience to Christ. Each day has a challenging lesson on love, followed by a ‘dare’ for the day, and space to journal how it went. For more information visit Fireproof My Marriage
I would ask for you all to pray for us as we embark on this journey, and let me know if I can pray for you as well. Click here to start from Day 1!
If you’re participating in The Love Dare, I would love to hear from you! Add your link to our McLinky so we can all pray for each other!
Good for you! Love Dare is a great book and Fireproof was awesome!
I have heard good things about Love Dare. I pray that it will be an instrument in your marriage.
That's funny because I started The Love Dare today, a friend of mine told me to check out your blog (which I love) because you had posts about The Love Dare. I am glad to see other women doing this! 🙂 http://mamato3blessings.blogspot.com/2010/01/love-dare.htmlMay God bless you! :)Nicole
Oh, that's a great idea, I'll add a McLinky too I've been meaning to do that at some point.
Great! Thanks for adding your blog to my McKlinky, I added mine to yours! :)How is the Love Dare going for you?
Anonymous husband ad father of four children. Wish I had started this 30 years ago. This year marked our 31st year of marriage and up until this point I have been one more selfish husband and hope to God in heaven that things are going to turn around! In it until the end one way or another!!
