Every year we try to fill shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. (All thanks go to my mother-in-law, without whom we might not have done it this year!)
It’s a wonderful ministry that gives the boxes as Christmas gifts to kids in need all over the world. Since 1993 Samaritan’s Purse has shared God’s love to over 69 million children through the shoe box program. Each year, we fill a box for a child that matches the gender and age of our kids.
Once the boxes are loaded, they each write a personal note/card to put in their boxes. This year my mother-in-law is going to take our son with her to the warehouse where the boxes are organized and loaded.
We missed doing that this year. I'm still hoping to find somewhere we can do something like that for this year.
We did that too! It was fun to put the boxes together. It is such a great ministry! 🙂
We did this for the first time this year and the kids loved it. Definitely a new tradition for our family.
