This is a post just to let you all know that I’ve officially given up! The Teeny Tiny Tot has won. After weeks of trying to keep her off desks and off chairs and out of everyone’s boxes, I’ve given up. Here’s a glimpse at what our school’s been like lately…imagine trying to do work with this on your desk:
So today, she’s officially joined the homeschooler’s of the household and her grand prize is her very own desk complete with pre-filled workboxes! May she sit on top of her own desk peacefully forevermore. (Note: I’ll paint it a pretty color once its not all snowy outside!)
The boxes have been kindly filled by her siblings in the hopes of a more orderly school time starting tomorrow, here’s a sample of some of her boxes:
As a side note, here’s where we found her this morning:
Please pray for a peaceful co-existence between homeschool and the Teeny Tiny Tot!
Update: Today was a success! She loved her boxes, and climbing on her own desk! Praise God!
How very precious! You are blessed to have such a distraction. I will pray for peace between all the students! Thanks so much for your blog–I love it!!
oh my gosh she is PRECIOUS! My little girl (14 months) does the same thing!! How funny! Mine also has the same little mischevious grin on her face. Love it!
I have given up on my little one as well. She is just two and Im doing my best waiting on this phase to pass us. What a cute little on you have here!
I feel your pain. Our little cutey is a bit on the delayed side, so she has been unable to do much damage…. but never fear her just turned three year old brother wrecks total havoc on our school attempts. The really funny thing is that he is starting to mature a little to to the point of knowing some of the limits and now our one year old is moving in. She can't walk, yet so she can't hasn't realize she can climb too much. She does climb into the chair with my 5 year old (and pushes her out)… I am sure climbing on the desk area is next!!… once she realizes she can do it. I had to change our desk arrangement just two weeks ago to get some things out of her reach. Gotta love them!!
She reminds me of my littlest! So cute, but exhausting!
How precious! Reminds me of our youngest (13 months) … she's just starting to get adventuresome in her climbing too. Keeps us on our toes, that's for sure lol
Hee, hee, hee! What a ham! She has rotten written all over her. Good luck and don't sweat the small stuff!
How adorable! I am new to the homeschooling adventure this year with a kindergardener and a 3 year old, so I am loving all the ideas! Where did you get your desks and chairs?? How did you paint them?? (what kind of paint, do tops remove, etc).
Hi! I got the desks at a church school closing for $5 each! Wow, what a steal! Anyway, I uber-cleaned them, then just taped off the tops and flipped them upside down and spray painted them! The leg's come off and are adjustable, so I did remove them before painting since they are a silver/chrome finish.
how old is your tot? Mine is 10 months and just figured out how to walk. So far we have been able to put him in his exersaucer during school but he does not like it anymore. 🙁
