Hi everyone!

I’ve literally had a ton of emails…although I’m not sure how you would really weigh emails…

Maybe I should say a zillion, but then I’d be exaggerating slightly.

Anyway, the point is I’ve had a LOT of emails requesting that I make a printable homeschool lesson planner. So I’ve finally had a little bit of time to make one.

Okay fine, I couldn’t decide on a design so I made two!

I’m releasing the first one for you today and will release the second version next week.

Curious?…think floral.

I also did my best to make these fairly generic so you can use them if you homeschool or teach in a traditional classroom.

I wanted something bright and colorful just to help make my planning a little sweeter. So today I present the bright and cheery Homeschool Lesson Planner & Records download.

Psst…giveaway alert, keep reading!

The first part of the planner you’ll find the weekly planning pages. I included 5 copies for each month so you should have enough for each month regardless of how many days there are and how they fall.

What forms are included?

The following pages are all of my helpful homeschooling forms. The form section includes the following items. If there’s a form I forgot, feel free to email me and I’ll do my best to add one in!

Most of these forms were created to go along with my Homeschooling 101: A Guide to Getting Started eBook. Hopefully they’re fairly self explanatory but you can use them however best suits your needs.

How do I use the planner?

I printed the planner and forms, then took mine to a local office supply store and had it spiral bound. It cost about $3.50 for the spiral, plastic cover, and backing. You can even print an extra one for your students if they prefer to work off of their own planner.

Next get some colorful pens and start planning! Add in the current week dates at the top along with all of your subjects down the left hand column.

Next add in your  lessons on the lines provided. You can use the lines to write in lessons for each child as indicated below.

I like to use different colored pens for each of my children.

I like the Paper Mate InkJoy retractable pens, they’re colorful and fun. However, pen is permanent so if you like to move things around, you might consider erasble colored pencils.

As you proceed through your lessons, highlight the completed items so you know that they are finished.

  1. I absolutely Love this! I had bought a Teacher Planner at the beginning of the school year from a wonderful website that does a great job but does not know ANYTHING about the HOMESCHOOL life and planning. So here I am halfway through the year, frustrated with my planner, trying to make due (since I paid $60) and not using about 50% of the classroom features that come along with it. I am SOOOOOO looking forward to trying this planner out! I need something that makes planning simple! Can keep attendance for my kiddos and understands how to separate subjects for a few kids, not a classroom full of 30!

Thank you for creating this and making it so affordable! Now I can stop using my $60 planner and still get this without breaking the bank!!!

  2. Do you print back to back or separate page for each? I purchased 2 of them and normally you explain it but not for the planners. Also do you print the front and back page in a thicker cardboard like paper and get it laminated or how would you request for it to be bounded and covered? Planning on printing it out and bind this week and it’s the first time doing my own planner. Normally I purchase it from a major company to not deal with hassle. I love the fact that it’s printed professionally but unfortunately it doesn’t fit our needs. TIA

    1. Hi Aditty,
You can really do it however you want, but I printed them back-to-back or double-sided, then had them spiral bound at Office Depot. I printed on light weight cardstock so they were a bit more durable.

  3. Hi Erica,
I just downloaded this planner and had a question. I failed to realize that there are only 4 lines for each subject. I have 5 children and need one more line. Is there any way to add another line?

    1. Hi Holly, I’ll consider it for next year, unfortunately it’s not a quick fix that I can do right now, and the planner is already a bit cramped so I’ll have to see if more lines will work. If you would like a refund as it might not fit your needs, let me know and I’ll be happy to return your order.

  4. I am a single mom of two girls that I started homeschooling last year in Sept. Due to huge medical bills and not having a steady income we really do not have much money to use each month. I have been using as many free resources that I can to keep the kids going educationally but honestly I feel like I am 10 ft deep in a bog trying to keep things organized. I wish I could get this set to use maybe some day. It looks amazing
