Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! I’m so excited to share another video in my EASY CROCHET series, and today, we’re making the cutest little crochet hearts. These hearts are beginner-friendly, super quick to make, and a great way to use up your scrap yarn.

Supplies:
Finished Size: Approx. 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″. The finished size may vary depending on your yarn and hook size.
- Sheepjes Sport Weight Yarn (Rose Quartz)
- Clover Amour USD 3.25mm Hook
- Yarn Needle
- Embroidery Scissors

Step-by-Step Crochet Heart Pattern
- Make a Magic Ring
- Start by creating a magic ring (also called a magic loop). This allows you to pull the center tight for a perfect heart shape.
- Work the Stitches into the Ring
- Chain 2 (this does not count as a stitch)
- Work 3 treble crochets (tr) into the ring
- Work 3 double crochets (dc) into the ring
- Chain 1
- Work 1 treble crochet (tr) into the ring (this will form the point of the heart)
- Chain 1
- Work 3 double crochets (dc) into the ring
- Work 3 treble crochets (tr) into the ring
- Chain 2 and slip stitch into the center of the ring to close the heart shape
- Tighten and Finish
- Pull the magic ring tight to close the center.
- Fasten off and weave in your ends with a yarn needle.
- Accent Color
- Join accent color to the center of the heart with a SLST. SC in each stitch around. When you get to the bottom of the heart (TR stitch) SC in the stitch then CH1. Continue SC in each stitch back around to the top of the heart. Join with a SLST in the center of the heart to finish. Fasten off yarn and weave in ends or leave a loop to hang as garland.
