So, in my spare time *wink, wink* I like to digital scrapbook. I used to do the traditional method of paper, and swore I’d not venture over to digital because it just looked fake. Well, as usual, I tend to eat my words, so I’m here to announce that, yes, I have indeed crossed over, and not only have I crossed over 1/2 way, but gone all in! I still scrap so it “looks” like I did it with paper, but with all the digital freebies and flexibility to change things to my liking, coupled with the fact that I don’t have to lug out the ‘big bag’ spreading out all over the kitchen where the little people can get to it, I’m sorry people, but I’ve been sold. So, this might take awhile, but I plan on moving my digital collection from facebook, over here to my blog…so go grab a cool drink, and settle in for a nice long blog post full of digital goodness all for your viewing pleasure.

I am a digiscrapper as well, and actually a designer at ScrapGirls. Thank you for the inspiration tonight, I am quite distracted from the work I am "supposed" to be doing. LOL.
ok, so how did you get started in digi scrapping? I love to scrapbook and as I did my schedule for school, I'm trying to find time for me in which I hope to get some scrapping done. I am far far behind! As you know, the old cut paper takes awhile.Do you have to be a graphic artist to do this, or can the ordinary joe "me" learn? Is this how you do your homeschool art as well? I thought of getting microsoft publishing, is this what you use? Sometimes I wish I had certain graphics to do some things and I don't have the tools to do them.Thanks, Cheryl
Anyone can do digital scrapbooking! I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 right now. You can get it online or at Costco. Sometimes they have deals, I got mine for $40, but its usually $80, but then think how much you spend on paper supplies!And there are TONS of resources to help you learn online as well. Lots of free tutorials and even free scrapbooking embellishments and paper etc. Do a google search on 'photoshop elements scrapbooking tutorials' or check out http://www.ikeagoddess.com and you'll get lots of fun links. Also on http://www.jessicasprague.com she offers EXCELLENT free tutorials too and some paid classes that are WORTH THE COST! There are some here too: http://scrapgirls.com/beginning_to_scrapbook_digitally_with_Easy_Pages.htm. Its really easy and no mess to clean up LOL!Yes, I use Photoshop Elements to make my school downloads as well. I also use Microsoft Publisher, but photoshop is MUCH better. And worth the price.
