As we welcome a new year, I’m taking a moment to look back on all the amazing crafting journeys I embarked on in 2024. This year was truly a celebration of creativity, patience, and learning new skills. From quilting to cross-stitch, sewing to knitting, and crochet, I’ve dived into multiple craft mediums, each project unique and special in its own way. Join me as I share my 2024 craft project recap and reflect on the joy these projects brought to my life.

New Fabric Lines!
One of my main goals for 2024 was to release my own fabric line! It’s always been on my bucket list, and I’m so excited that I was able to release not one, but three new fabric lines in 2024! I love the designing process, and getting those fresh bolts of fabric that I’ve designed has been a true highlight for 2024! I look forward to creating new lines in 2025, and have already released my first line, Sew Quilty! Stay tuned for more coming soon!
Quilting: A Tapestry of Stories
2024 was a big year for my quilting projects. I tackled several quilts, each telling its own story through fabric and thread. Each time I release a new design, it becomes my favorite one! Like all crafters, I usually doubt myself mid-way during the process, but the end result is always worth every minute of effort.
Cross-Stitch: Tiny Stitches, Big Rewards
Cross-stitching was one of my favorite activities in 2024. There’s something so meditative about creating intricate patterns one stitch at a time. This year, I worked on several patterns, including our monthly sew-a-long patterns, and a few to accompany my larger quilt patterns as well.
Sewing: Making Everyday Life a Little More Beautiful
While I didn’t add as many small sewing projects to my crafting repertoire this year, I did make a variety of projects that were so much fun. Some of my favorite sewing projects are a hand-made tote bag made from sherpa fabric, the Sew Together Bag, and my Crochet Sunburst Tote, and I’m proud to say that this tote is now one of my go-to everyday bags.
Knitting: From Beginner to Confident Crafter
Knitting is always on my “to-do” list, and I’ve worked on a few projects but didn’t finish any in 2024. I do have several WIPS (works in progress) in my closet, and I’m hoping to make knitting a joyful part of my daily routine going forward.
Crochet: A Year of Color and Texture
Crochet brought even more color and texture into my crafting world in 2024. I loved exploring different patterns and techniques, from granny squares, to crochet ornaments, tote bags, and pillows! I went crazy with the small ornaments this year, and now have a whole Christmas tree dedicated to handmade ornaments!
One of my favorite things about crochet is how versatile it is – whether I’m making something small and quick or diving into a bigger project, crochet always satisfies my creative itch.
A Year of Growth and Learning
As I look back on my 2024 crafting journey, I’m filled with gratitude for the time I spent on these projects. Each one taught me something new, whether it was improving a technique, experimenting with new materials, or simply enjoying the process. The beauty of crafting lies in the experience itself – the joy of creating something with your hands, the satisfaction of seeing a project come to life, and the pride in completing something that will last.
I’m already excited to continue learning in 2025 with fresh ideas and new projects on the horizon. If you’ve embarked on any of these craft journeys yourself this year, I’d love to hear about your projects and what you’re most proud of.
Here’s to another year of crafting, creating, and making our world a little more beautiful with our hands!
